The Committee are continually monitoring the condition of the grounds and have planned maintenance activities to keep the footing at a high standard. We have an arena maintenance and improvement plan in place for all arenas and warmups. Arenas and warm up areas are fully irrigated as we are lucky to have a large dam on site. The main competition arena (Ring 2) has a high quality geo-pro footing / sand warm up area that provides great riding conditions for horses all year round. SSJC shares the grounds with the Hawkesbury Riding Club (with shared usage of Arena 4) and the Hawkesbury Sheepdog Trialing Club. The grounds provide plenty of parking space for trucks and floats. It has been the starting place for some of the best horses and riders in our country. Starting at Warwick Farm Racecourse, it moved to Scheyville and now has Clarendon as its permanent grounds. The SSJC's Clarendon grounds have a spacious raised spectator mound that allows for superb viewing of all four arenas. Entry to the grounds is free for spectators and plenty of food and refreshments are available on Club days.
